Our Catholic belief in God is the core of our Community of Believers.
These resources provide reference to our beliefs. Some are good general
references, in addition to being faith-based resources.
- SHPS Bulletin
- Read the SHP bulletin for interesting religious facts and items about the Church community.
- Daily Mass Readings
- You can find the daily mass readings by going to the Sacred Heart Parish page. Click on the link in the right-hand column of the page.
- United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
- The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is an assembly of the hierarchy of the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of the United States. This site includes a number of resources, including the New American Bible, readings for the week, etc. Some of these resources are called out in the links below.

- A complete online reference work which can be searched.

resource, Disciples Now provides opportunities to learn, to discuss,

- Site contains information about this charitable organization. Also contains a special section for kids. (Note: heavy use of Flash on the site make make it slow or unreadable for some browsers.)
- Ursuline Press
- Pre-formatted, ready-to-copy children’s bulletins and individual word puzzles are perfect for religious education and newsletter supplements.
- Diocese of Sacramento
- Information about the dioceses of which SHPS is a part.
- The Holy See
- Official website of the Vatican and the Pope. The link is to the English version, there are other translations available.
- Faith First
- This is the site connected with the Faith Book used at all grade levels. There are reviews and other materials which help the study of our Catholic Faith.
- Catholic Answers
- Catholic Answers is one of the nation’s largest
lay-run apostolates of Catholic apologetics and evangelization.
Its mission statement explains its purpose:
