A daily food service (Morning Recess, Lunch) program is offered at Sacred Heart Parish School. Snacks are available for purchase during morning recess on a daily basis. A hot lunch service begins early in the school year and is in effect every day except on minimum days and during the last week of the school year. Check the calendar for the exact start date and menu.

Hot lunch and milk purchases: Parents/students must purchase lunches and/or milks in blocks in advance through the school cafeteria. To minimize administrative processing, and assure that your children get lunch, we recommend that parents purchase blocks of at least 20 lunches or milks. Parents may submit a check to the cafeteria personnel, through the school office or to the child(ren)'s teacher.

Please mark the child(ren)'s name(s) and include the full name of the child(ren) if different from the name on the check. A single check can be submitted for all children in a family. Please indicate any special distribution instructions for money among the children. Otherwise, the cafeteria personnel will use their best judgment to distribute the money.

When either lunch or milk money is used up, your child will bring home a reminder notice which needs to be responded to immediately. Please keep your own child(ren)'s cafeteria accounts current. A student is only allowed to carry a negative lunch amount for 2 lunches and a negative milk amount for 5 milks. The cafeteria reserves the right to transfer money among children in a family or between milk and lunch balances to assure that a child can purchase the lunch/milk they request. However, once a family accounts reach this negative balance and no money can be transferred, the child will be denied lunch and/or milk.

Children who bring lunches from home eat in the cafeteria.

Food Service Prices

Lunches must be purchased in advance. Lunches can not be purchased on a day-to-day basis, nor can credit be given. Please send a check to school with our child. Indicate on the check your student(s) name and grade.

(Lunches include a drink: milk or juice.)

Additional Cafeteria Fare

The cefeteria offers three other lunches for your to choose from every day besides the main menu item. (Check the calendar for the daily lunch menu.)

• delicious and healthy turkey sandwiches
• chef salads
• soup

These may be ordered in the morning, just as you order a regular lunch. These items are all the same price as a menu lunch.

Another note: We serve turkey dogs for our hot dogs and ground turkey in our tacos for a healthy alternative.
