The role of the SAC is to advise, assist, and support the pastor and principal in formulating policies of good stewardship that safeguard, then advance our school's Catholic educational Ministry.

Next Meeting

Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Science Lab during the school year.

Accredidation Update

The SAC is involved in the SHPS accredidation process. The SAC works with the teachers and staff of the school to make the accredidation successful.

This activity will extend throughout the 2008-9 school year. You will notice on the calendar, the addition of accredidation work days each month. This will allow the teams time to work on the document which will be presented to the committee before their three-day visit. 

Committees

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The primary purpose of the development committee is resource development and the implementation of development programs. This committee has additional responsibility of reviewing and monitoring the public relations and communications efforts of the school. In addition to appointed SAC members, this standing committee is open to school community membership.

FACILITIES COMMITTEE

The primary purpose of the facilities committee is to develop a long-term maintenance program for school-specific capital improvements/property depreciation. In addition to appointed SAC members, this standing committee is open to school community membership.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

The primary purpose of the finance committee is to provide oversight to the school budget and budgeting process. In addition to budgeting, this committee may be involved in developing and recommending fiscal policy, determining tuition assistance, and monitoring the accuracy of financial procedures used by the school.

MISSION EFFECTIVENESS COMMITTEE

The primary purpose of the mission effectiveness committee is to work with the administration to maintain and enhance the Catholic nature of the school and to help design and implement programs that promote this nature. In addition to appointed SAC members, this standing committee is open to school community membership.

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE

The primary purpose of the strategic planning committee is to develop, help implement and monitor long range plans for the school. In addition, this committee coordinates the efforts of various committees to insure a unified effort at promoting and developing the school. In addition to appointed SAC members, this standing committee is open to school community membership.
