To live, learn, and work successfully in an increasingly complex and information-rich society, students must be able to use technology effectively. When integrated into the SHPS curriculum, technology can enable students to become:
- Creative and effective technology users
- Information seekers, analyzers, and evaluators
- Problem solvers and decision makers
- Communicators, collaborators, publishers, and producers
- Informed, responsible, and contributing citizens
In the SHPS computer lab, students learn to control technology, not to be controlled by it. They learn to selectively use the vast amount of complex information with which our society is being bombarded. Shaped by the values that they learn at Sacred Heart, they pick the information which will help them be successful.
